The 2009 SOB Meeting will be held in College Park, Maryland on the campus of the University of Maryland-College Park from Friday October 30th to Sunday November 1st; the lodging is on campus (yes, despite the fact that the Inn and Conference Center’s address says “Adelphi, Maryland”).
FRIDAY NIGHT RECEPTION AT THE HOTEL’s ORACLE LOUNGE 8:00 p.m.-9:30 p.m.
Your University of Maryland Hosts (led Friday night by Paul Hanges) will be providing each person two drink-tickets; we encourage groups to order hors ‘doerves if they want to accompany their drinks with food.
Our hotel, including this bar/lounge, has a smoke-free policy. Dark woods and original artworks provide a club-like ambience in this lounge; plus sports fanatics will enjoy our plasmas!
Prior to lounging/relaxing at the Oracle Lounge, we encourage all SOB’ers to eat at The Garden, the Marriott Hotel’s restaurant, whose crabcakes and all other entrees are very good! Reservations ahead of time will limit your wait.
